PRIVACY NOTICE
How Dividend Watchdog handles information
Effective for the free public beta
Version privacy-beta-2026-09-v1
Information we handle
Account: verified email, optional first name, Terms acceptance, and authentication/security metadata.
Product: watchlists, preferences, alerts and read history, reports, and other product state.
Consent: marketing choice, consent version, source, timestamp, revision, and suppression evidence.
Operations: application/security logs, email delivery and bounce/complaint evidence, pseudonymous audit records, and provider/webhook evidence. We do not ask for brokerage credentials and do not connect to brokerage accounts.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate and secure accounts, provide monitoring and alerts, maintain preferences and reports, administer the beta, provide support, troubleshoot the service, honor communication choices, and meet legal or security obligations. Limited account information may be used internally for signup monitoring, support, security, and service administration; that operational use is not marketing.
Service providers
We use specialized service providers for authentication, database services, application hosting, account and operational email, security, support, and financial or corporate-action information. We limit the information shared with each provider to what is reasonably needed for that function. Market-data providers generally do not need customer identity information.
No payment information is collected during the free public beta. If paid service is introduced later, payment providers may independently retain transaction, tax, invoice, fraud-prevention, and buyer-support records under their own obligations.
Email and marketing
Marketing consent is optional, unchecked by default, and can be changed in Settings. Marketing choices do not control necessary account verification, password/security, service, billing, or customer-enabled product-alert communications. Marketing-provider synchronization is not active during the beta.
Cookies and similar technologies
Watchdog uses technologies necessary for authentication, security, and application operation. No advertising pixel or nonessential marketing analytics system is currently used. If tracking practices materially change, this notice and any required choices will be updated.
Retention and deletion
Customer-owned product data is generally retained while the account exists and then deleted or pseudonymized through the supported deletion process. Ordinary sanitized operational diagnostics may ordinarily be retained for approximately 90 days where appropriate. Consent, suppression, security, legal, and audit evidence may be retained longer where reasonably necessary. Infrastructure providers may retain records under their own legitimate security and legal obligations.
Deletion does not require erasure of pseudonymous evidence needed to honor suppression choices, protect security, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Future payment providers may independently retain records they are legally required to keep.
Your choices
You may update profile and communication settings, opt out of marketing, and request access, correction, or deletion. We may verify identity before fulfilling privacy requests. These controls are offered without representing that every comprehensive state privacy statute necessarily applies to the beta.
Age and location
The free public beta is intended only for U.S. residents age 18 or older and is not directed to children.
