TERMS OF USE

Beta Terms of Use

Effective for the free public beta
Version terms-beta-2026-09-v1 · Privacy version privacy-beta-2026-09-v1

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of Dividend Watchdog. The free public beta is limited to U.S. residents using the service in the United States and is available only to people age 18 or older who can form a binding agreement and are not prohibited from using the service by applicable law or sanctions. No invitation or payment is required.

2. Accounts

You must maintain a working verified email address, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person, share an account, transfer beta access, or circumvent account or monitoring limits.

3. Free public beta

The service is being provided as a beta. Features, coverage, availability, and limits may change; defects, interruptions, and inaccuracies may occur; feedback may be requested; and beta access may be discontinued. Beta access has no cash value. No payment information is required, no paid subscription is created, and participation will not automatically convert into a future paid subscription. A future paid service would require separate affirmative acceptance and purchase.

4. Informational service—not investment advice

Dividend Watchdog provides general informational monitoring and analysis. Its alerts, ratings, reports, and other content are not personalized investment advice and are not recommendations to buy, sell, hold, or avoid any security.

The service does not provide trading signals, connect to brokerage accounts, execute trades, hold funds or securities, manage portfolios, or make investment decisions for you. You remain solely responsible for independently evaluating investment decisions and should consult appropriate professional advisers when needed.

5. Detection and data limitations

Dividend Watchdog does not guarantee detection of every dividend declaration, increase, reduction, suspension, reinstatement, financial-condition change, correction, or other event. Issuer and third-party information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or corrected. Watchdog may delay or suppress uncertain events, providers may change, and email delivery may fail or be delayed. Do not rely on Watchdog as your sole source of investment information.

6. Communications

You agree to receive communications necessary to verify and secure your account and operate the service. Product-alert email is controlled by your settings where available. Marketing is optional and governed by separate consent; declining marketing does not disable necessary account, security, billing, or service communications.

7. Acceptable use

You may use customer-facing output for reasonable personal purposes. You may not scrape or automate extraction, reverse engineer or circumvent security, resell or redistribute the service or third-party data, interfere with operations, violate third-party rights, or use the service unlawfully.

8. Intellectual property and feedback

Dividend Watchdog retains rights in its software, branding, methodology, reports, analysis, presentation, and protectable compiled or derived outputs. It does not claim ownership of the underlying facts in your watchlist. Voluntary feedback may be used to improve the service without compensation, but you retain rights in unrelated material you own.

9. Third-party services

The service may rely on hosting, authentication, email, issuer, regulatory, and financial-data services. Their availability and information may change and their terms may impose limitations. You receive no independent right to extract or redistribute third-party datasets.

10. Future paid service

The beta is currently free. If paid plans are offered later, prices, recurring terms, taxes, automatic renewal, cancellation, refunds, and any payment provider terms will be disclosed before purchase. Beta access alone does not consume eligibility for a future introductory offer and does not guarantee eligibility for one.

11. Account deletion and termination

During beta, you may request owner-assisted account deletion by emailing support@dividendwatchdog.com. We will verify your identity before proceeding. Customer-owned data will be deleted or pseudonymized as described in the Privacy Notice, while limited security, consent, suppression, and audit evidence may be retained. Watchdog may suspend or terminate access for unlawful use, fraud, security abuse, material breach, or legal necessity, with notice where reasonable.

12. Warranty disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Watchdog does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service; complete event detection; or the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, continued availability, or investment outcome of any information. Nothing excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Dividend Watchdog will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid to Dividend Watchdog during the 12 months before the claim or $100. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims resulting from your unlawful use, intentional material violation of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or prohibited resale or redistribution.

15. Governing law and disputes

Florida law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and subject to mandatory consumer protections. Before filing a claim, the parties should attempt informal resolution for 30 days. Claims may be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Florida, while small-claims proceedings and any mandatory consumer venue rights remain available. No mandatory arbitration applies to the beta.

16. Changes

Watchdog may change or discontinue features, limits, methodologies, or providers. Reasonable notice will be provided for material changes where appropriate. Material changes to customer obligations, data use, disputes, or liability may require new acceptance; formatting and clarifying edits generally will not.
